Annapurna Sanctuary trek is one of the best tea house trekking in Annapurna region that takes you all the way through scenic Himalayan land to Annapurna base camp. You will get the chance to meet with several local ethnics and understand their ancient culture and traditions. Annapurna Sanctuary trekking route allows us to experience different climatic conditions varying from subtropical to alpine. The region is rich in biodiversity and offers wealth of flora and fauna. Trekking to Annapurna Sanctuary continues through the diverse landscape of field and verdant forest of oaks. In spring season, the forest becomes colorful with blooming rhododendron.                 

Splendid High Adventure organizes Annapurna Sanctuary Trek itinerary as 16-days package. Drafted by our travel expert, Annapurna Sanctuary Trekking route covers most of the highlights of the region. We will leave Kathmandu to reach Pokhara which is gateway to Annapurna Region. Annapurna Base Camp Trek begins from Nayapul. We will walk past different Gurung villages. Sunrise view from Poon hill is another attraction of this trek. We will move to Machhapuchre Base Camp. Machhapuchhre is considered a holy mountain. No one has made any attempt on this mountain. We will walk further through lateral moraine of Annapurna south glacier to Base Camp of Annpaurna which allows 360 degree views of Annapurna Mountain Range and Dhaulagiri Range. Annapurna Base Camp is our ultimate destination. We will return from Base Camp of Annapurna and choose alternative path through Landrung village to Phedi where the trek ends. Annapurna Sanctuary Trekking allows a lifetime worth of experience.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

When you land at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will have to go through custom formalities. Later, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to the hotel. When you are done with refreshment, you will visit our office where we will complete the documentation work. Enjoy the welcome dinner in the evening.    

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

You will be picked up from the hotel and taken for the tour of UNESCO sites in Kathmandu. You will be amazed to know that there are altogether 7 UNESCO heritage sites in Kathmandu valley alone and 4 of them lies in Kathmandu city. We will start the tour from Pashupatinath, the holiest Hindu temple in Nepal. Observe Hindu crematory in Aryaghat which is located in the bank of Bagmati. Next, we will drive to Bouddhanath, the largest Buddhist Stupa in Nepal. You will rejoice to see monks in red robes chanting hymns. Later, we will continue our journey to Monkey Temple, Swoyambhunath. Believed to have been self-originated at the top of hill, Swoyambhunath dates 2500 years back and is said to be the oldest Stupa. Our next stop will be at Kathmandu Durbar Square. Taleju Temple, Stone Statue of KalBhairav, SwetBhairav, Kasthamandap and KumariGhar- the home of Living Goddess are attractions in Kathmandu Durbar Square.   

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

After an early morning tea, we will leave Kathmandu and drive through Prithvi Highway towards Pokhara. We will have a memorable journey along green hills, river and forest. On the way lies wish-fulfilling Mankamana Temple.We will enjoy views of Annapurna, Manaslu and other peaks and mountains and reach Lakeside, Pokhara in 5hrs. Stay overnight in Pokhara.

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul, Trek to Ulleri (2070m)

Leaving a hotel in Lakeside, Pokhara, we will drive for an hour to reach Nayapul. Our journey continues along Lumle village. We can get breath-taking view of Annapurna Mountain. Annapurna Sanctuary Trek begins from Nyapul. We will pass through Ramgai and Sumdevillages and reach Hile from where we will choose climbingpath to Ulleri. Stay overnight at Ulleri.

Day 05: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2850m)

We will enter the forest area from Ulleri. Crossing the forest of blooming rhododendrons, we will reachNangethati. The trail escalates further to Deurali from where we will head towards Ghorepani village. Ghorepani is located at the top of ridge and allows spectacular view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain range. We will stay overnight in Ghorepani.

Day 06: Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210m) toTadapani (2660m)

We will wake up very early and take almost an hour of walk from Ghorepani to Poon hill from where we will enjoy sunrise view over Annapurna Mountain Range. Poonhill is inhabited mostly by Pun ethnics. Along with the sunrise view, Poonhill allows spectacular views of Nilgiri, Tukuche, Annapurna and other peaks and mountains. Return to Ghorepani and follow the descending trail to Tadapani for overnight stay.

Day 07: Tadapani to Chhomrung (2020m)

We will lower down through rhododendron forest to reachKimrong River. Walking past tiny village of Gurjung, we will reach Chhomrong village. The path allows views of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre and Hiunchuli Mountain. Chhomrong is the largest Gurung village in region. Stay overnight at Chhomrong.    

Day 08: Chhomrung to Himalayan Hotel (2920m)

We will descend to Chhomrong River and walk through rhododendron forest. The trail rises to Sinuwa Hill. We will enjoy the views of Annapurna and other Mountains before choosing the ascending path to Upper Modi River Valley. Lowering down through bamboo forest, we will reach Dovan and climb uphill to Himalaya Hotel. Stay overnight in Himalayan Hotel.

Day 09: Himalayan Hotel to Annapurna Base Camp or Sanctuary (4130m)

Leaving Himalayan Hotel, we will enter forest area. We can get view of glacial river before arriving at Hinku Cave. Descending to river, the trail takes us uphill to Deurali. Our journey continues through rocky area toMachhapuchhre Base Camp. Walking through Annapurna Sanctuary Area, we will reach Annapurna Base Camp. Enjoy the views of Annapurna South Mountain, Hiunchuli and other peaks and mountains. Stay overnight at Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 10: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2300m)

We will enjoy the early morning view of Annapurna I Mountain. After taking breakfast, we will return from Base Camp and return to Bamboo. We will walk through moraine valley and cross rhododendron forest to reach Bamboo where we will stay overnight.   

Day 11: Bamboo to Chhomrung to Jhinuwa (Hot Spring) (1400m)

We will leave Bamboo and descend to Kuldighar. The trail continues further toSinuwa Hill. The hilltop of Sinuwa is a fascinating site for mountain views. We will descend to Chhomrong River. The trail continues along River to Chhmorong village from where we will descend to Jhinuwa. We will visit the hot spring. Stay overnight at Jhinuwa.

Day 12: Jhinuwa to Pothana (1900m)

The trail goes continues to Jhinuwa and pass by the scenic Landruk village that is rich in cultural traditions. Rejoicing the scenery, we will continue our walk to Pothana where we will stay overnight.

Day 13: Pothana to Pokhara (915m)

From Pothana, we will descend to Dhampus village. The trail lowers down further to Phedi where Annapurna Sanctuary Trek ends. We will catch a vehicle from Phedi and return to hotel in Pokhara for overnight stay.

Day 14: Sightseeing tour in Pokhara

After an early morning breakfast, we will prepare for Pokhara Tour. The tour starts with visit to Davis Fall. We will also visit Gupteswor Cave and Mahendra Cave. Old Pokhara Bazar and International Mountaineering Museum are also places of interest. We will visit Phewa Lake in evening before returning to hotel.

Day 15: Drive to Kathmandu

We will drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara via Prithvi Highway. You will be transferred to hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 16: Departure

You will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport three hours before your scheduled flight. Have a safe journey.
